Community Intersections Mosaic Project Installation!
This mosaic is a community-created art piece made up of individual contributions from local residents. Each tile represents a unique voice, story, or perspective—coming together to form a shared expression of belonging in our community.
The Community Intersections Mosaic Project brought together community members through a series of hands-on art sessions led by artist Anne Krocak of Arts, Hearts and Hoofbeats.
Over the course of 7 group sessions, approximately 20 community members participated in creating individual pieces—each reflecting personal experiences, identities, and connections.
These individual contributions were combined into a single mosaic, representing the collective voice of the community.
The mosaic was unveiled during the Communities of Belonging year-end celebration on December 13 and is now installed at the Chanhassen Library for the public to enjoy.
This project reflects the idea that belonging is built collectively. Each piece contributes to a larger story—highlighting how individual experiences, when brought together, create a stronger, more connected community.
Community members of all ages participated in guided workshops, creating small pieces that were later assembled into the final mosaic. The result is a visual representation of shared effort, creativity, and connection.
